We loathe level names almost as much as we loathe the term 'take your dancing to the next level'. However, we have to call the tracks something, so "Piratical Punishments" it is!
As a dancer, you have a good idea of what you hope to get from a workshop, so it's your job to pick the right track. For the sake of your dancing peers, the teachers, and yourself, please be honest when choosing the track that best describes you as a dancer.
We do our best to provide a solid learning environment (the audition process for the advanced track is fantastic - read about it in our FAQ). We're confident that experienced dancers can get something - possibly a lot, if they choose to - out of even the intermediate classes.
You understand that a solid foundation is a truly important step to becoming a good dancer. You want to continue to work on your fundamentals, and bolster your repertoire.
You want to improve your connection to both your partner and the music. You want to improve the quality of your movement in addition to learning new moves.
You want classes that will be challenging, but you understand that sometimes the challenge is in the details. You're ok with spending a whole class deepening your understanding of one move; you're also ok with classes that move quickly and leave you knowing several moves that you can't quite execute yet.
This track requires an audition. Auditions will be held on Saturday morning. For more about the audition process, see our FAQ.
Classes in this track are NOT available a la carte.
Electives are classes that are open to any level. This year we will have an elective class on Friday night, a choice of two on Saturday afternoon, and a single elective between office hours and the afternoon classes.
